- Bill C-16: The Citizenship of Canada Act - Government's attempt, in 1999-2000, to change the citizenship law. The bill had passed the Commons, but died in Senate when Parliament was dissolved in October 2000. It is interesting historical evidence nonetheless, since it gives an idea of what kind of citizenship legislation the government may introduce in the future.
