- Scaterie Island - Canadian Important Bird Area - Scaterie was a Wildlife Management Area and is now a Protected Area of Nova Scotia. It probably holds 10 to 25 male Bicknells Thrushes and several thousand pairs of Leachs Storm-Petrels also breed on the island.
