The most religiously dogmatic of all the Unionist parties and the leading party opposed to the Good Friday Agreement. DUP supports the devolution of power to Stormont, however. - Northern Ireland Unionist Party (NIUP) - Committed to a revitalised Union between Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Opposed to the Good Friday Agreement and the inclusion of Sinn Fein in the Northern Ireland government.

- Progressive Unionist Party (PUP) - Working-class party, staunchly pro-Unionist and linked to the paramilitary Ulster Volunteer Force. Party claims to be anti-sectarian and dedicated to a pluralist society. Site includes manifesto and details of their history. Supports the Good Friday Agreement.

- Ulster Unionist Party (UUP) - The largest political party in Northern Ireland and the leading Protestant party, led by David Trimble. Favours the Good Friday Agreement and is the leading party in the power sharing government at Stormont. Affiliated with the Loyal Orange Order.

- United Kingdom Unionist Party (UKUP) - Opposes the Good Friday Agreement and devolution. Favours increased integration with the UK and opposes religious sectarianism. Aligned with the United Kingdom Independence Party. Lost its sole Westminster MP at the 2001 general election.
