- AWE-TRADES Home Page - The TRADES Organizing Project is a campaign of the Alliance for a Working Economy. AWE is a coalition of community organizations, labor unions and advocacy groups working together to change New York City's economic policies and priorities, and promote living-wage jobs for residents in our city. Recognizing that NYCHA is receiving millions of dollars from the federal government to rehabilitate its properties, the coalition of TRADES groups believes that this work should result in good-paying construction jobs and job-training opportunities for hundreds of NYCHA residents who are looking for employment opportunities.
