Why do we use glass milk bottles?
 To save our planet! We reuse the glass bottles. That's even better then recycling! Each bottle is used an average of 8 times. We've added up our numbers and checked statistics; here's what we've found out: More than 55 million one-way milk containers are put into California landfills EACH MONTH. Those of you that are drinking our milk in glass have saved about 4 million pounds of waste from going into the dumps! Not Here!  We started development of a methane digester about 5 years ago. We wanted to turn our cow's manure into electricity. We did it!! Straus, instead of adding to greenhouse gas problems, is eliminating them from the dairy. We run about 95% of the dairy on the digester, and power our electric car every night! Read more... |
